Thursday, September 23, 19:30-20:30 Book Launch: Climate Change for Football Fans by James Atkins. CCFFF is about Joe, a working class lad from Burnley who is mad on Burnley FC but he can't see why you'd bother worrying about climate change; and a Professor who is really into climate change policy but can't understand why 22 men would put on short trousers and canter around after a ball. They agree to spend the season together; the Prof goes to all the Burnley games and Joe listens to the Prof natter on about climate change policy. It is a vehicle for discussing climate policy in an entertaining and digestible way. The book is both green and very politically incorrect. James Atkins is Chairman of Vertis Environmental Finance, an emissions trading firm based in Budapest. He has lived in Budapest for 15 years. at Discover Budapest/Treehugger Dan's Lazar u. 16, Free Entry

Saturday, October 9, 19:30-21:00 Theater Production: The Zoo Story. Edward Albee 's one act play in English. Peter, who has an executive position at a small publishing house, is reading a book on a bench in Central Park on a sunny Sunday afternoon, when Jerry stops by, seemingly desperate to strike up a conversation, starts questioning him about his job, his literary taste, and his home life. At first Peter answers his questions in good faith, but soon grows impatient and he too wants to know more about the stranger. Of course, he might not be prepared for all Jerry has to say...The production features absurd associative acting based on the two characters' dialogue (or sometimes monologue). Disregarding Albee's static stage directions, the acting enhances or counterpoints textual effects, exploits inherent tensions and dynamics. The production has been staged about 25 times since its debut in 2003 (performed in Debrecen, Nyíregyháza, Szolnok, Budapest, Lublin(PL), and the 2007 EFOTT festival) and has been evolving ever since. The Zoo Story won best production, best actor and a special award for acting at the 2003 Debrecen International Festival of Drama in English.

Thursday, December 2, 19:30-21:00 Concert: Slamballet.
